Supporting Employee Wellbeing Across Borders: 400+ Employees Across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa

As part of its October 2026 Wellbeing Month, Munich Re Health Tech partnered with One Breath to deliver two interactive online training sessions for over 400 employees across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APAC and MEA) regions.

Designed and facilitated by Myrto Legaki, Leadership Consultant and Corporate Wellbeing Expert, the sessions combined insights from neuroscience, psychology and mindfulness with practical tools for managing stress, developing healthier habits and improving digital wellbeing.

The collaboration reflected Munich Re Health Tech's commitment to supporting employee wellbeing through engaging, accessible learning experiences tailored to the realities of modern professional life.

The context

In today's fast-paced and digitally connected workplace, employees continually balance professional responsibilities, competing priorities and the demands of everyday life. Managing pressure, maintaining focus, building sustainable routines and establishing healthy relationships with technology are increasingly important capabilities for supporting both individual wellbeing and professional effectiveness.

For employees working across international markets, these challenges can take additional forms. Frequent business travel, changing time zones, demanding schedules and living and working abroad can make it more difficult to maintain consistent routines, prioritize recovery and establish a healthy balance between work and personal life.

The challenge

The objective was to create learning experiences that would resonate with a large, geographically dispersed audience, recognizing the different professional and personal circumstances of participants.

The program needed to translate scientific knowledge into practical strategies that employees could easily apply in their everyday lives, while remaining relevant to different lifestyles and working environments.

An equally important consideration was maintaining engagement in a large-scale online setting, encouraging active participation and meaningful learning despite the geographical distance between participants.

The methodology

One Breath designed and facilitated two interactive online training sessions, combining accessible scientific knowledge with experiential learning and practical applications.

The first webinar, How to Regulate Your Nervous System to Manage Stress and Thrive, explored how stress affects the brain, body and nervous system, and how individuals can develop greater awareness of their physiological and emotional responses.

Drawing on neuroscience, psychology and mindfulness-based practices, participants learned to:

  • Understand the body's stress response and its effects on attention, emotions and behavior.

  • Recognize physical, emotional and cognitive warning signs of rising stress.

  • Practice breathing, grounding and mindfulness techniques to support nervous system regulation.

  • Integrate short recovery practices into their everyday activities.

Particular emphasis was placed on techniques that could be used anywhere, whether between meetings, during travel, before an important presentation or at the end of a demanding day.

The second webinar, Building Better Habits: From Everyday Routines to Digital Balance, focused on the science of habit formation and how employees can develop healthier, more sustainable routines.

Drawing on behavioral science, participants explored:

  • How habits form and the triggers that drive everyday behaviors.

  • Practical strategies, including habit stacking, to establish positive routines.

  • Ways to recognize and change unhelpful behavioral patterns.

  • Managing digital distractions, notifications and habitual technology use.

  • Developing realistic habits that can be maintained over time.

The session encouraged participants to reflect on their existing behaviors and identify small, achievable changes they could begin implementing immediately.

Keeping over 400 participants engaged online

To encourage participation and translate knowledge into practical learning, One Breath incorporated:

  • Interactive polls and questions that invited employees to reflect on their experiences and recognize common behavioral patterns.

  • Live chat participation that encouraged participants to share insights and perspectives with colleagues across different locations.

  • Guided experiential exercises that allowed employees to practice mindfulness, breathing and nervous system regulation techniques during the sessions.

  • Individual reflection activities that helped participants identify their own stress triggers, habits and opportunities for improvement.

This approach helped create an engaging and supportive learning environment where employees could connect scientific concepts with their individual experiences and leave with strategies they could apply immediately.

The impact

The collaboration received very positive feedback from Munich Re Health Tech, particularly regarding the practical relevance, engaging delivery and accessibility of the sessions.

The program introduced employees to evidence-informed tools for managing stress, improving daily habits and strengthening digital wellbeing. The interactive format encouraged personal reflection and gave participants opportunities to practice new techniques during the training.

The feedback also highlighted the value of making wellbeing education accessible to a diverse international audience, demonstrating how large-scale online initiatives can combine scientific insights with practical, engaging learning experiences.
